Check out this video to find out how to get the Moto 360 Gen 1 working on your iPhone.
UPDATE 5th November 2016: With the release of IOS 10.1.1 the battery life issue seems to have been resolved. I have done a factory reset on the moto 360 deleted android wear on the iPhone then reloaded it. Then I re-paired the Moto 360 and all good now getting 1 -1.5 days of battery life on the Moto 360 again. So far so good!
PLEASE NOTE: SINCE RECORDING THIS VIDEO AND THE RELEASE OF IOS 10 I have experienced battery performance issues. Moto 360 drains battery in 1 hour when connected to iPhone.Currently investigating a fix, just testing and will release follow up video with solution shortly.
Android Wear was recently released on iOS opening up the opportunity to connect various smart watches to IOS and the Moto 360 Gen 1 and Gen 2 are both compatible.
You can connect a Moto 360 to just about any iphone running iOS 8.1 or higher. iPhone 5, Iphone 6, 6s, 6s plus etc.
In this review I’ll demonstrate the process of pairing the watch to the phone and also show you what features are included and omitted.
Quick note about the update process. If the moto 360 hasn’t been updated to the latest version of Android Wear you will need to get your hands on and Android device, phone or tablet to first pair the phone and update it.
Once done, you can pair the watch to the Android device. As soon as you’re up and running Go into the watch settings and run the system update. Now this can take some time, mine took over an hour to download and update. Check what version it updates to. It should be Android Wear 126.96.36.199. If it only updates to 1.3 I advice that you run a second update to bring it up to 1.4 which is much more stable and better on battery life. Anyway, one updated you then unpair it from the Android and then run the pairing process with your iPhone.
